Thomas Jefferson's letter to John Adams, April 11, 1823: "The day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the supreme being as his father in the womb of a virgin, will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerva in the brain of Jupiter."

Has Christianity failed the "Messiah's Mission"?
A theoretical supposition: Christianity supposedly promotes the teachings of Jesus Christ, but unfortunately has substantially failed over the last 2,000 years in the primary mission. That mission is the upliftment of mankind as opposed to seeing it fall into moral disarray and civil decay.
I begin with the inquisitions of Catholicism, the blood-letting resulting from the Protestant Revolt, genocide of the Jews and others in Europe, the virtual annihilation of Native Americans, enslavement of Africans in Europe and America, and supportive of global imperialism (not free enterprise) via Christian overtones throughout the western and eastern hemispheres. Finally, evaluate its current existence based on race, class, and traditional beliefs in the western and eastern world that are inculcated via biblical interpretation to one's denominational vantage.
Pastorates are invited to join this discussion and to even challenge this supposition, but I personally think this does not bode well for those claiming to be waiting for "the messiah" and "a judgement." Do you? Sincerely, Bobby Buck, owner of Buck Publishing.
